Domaine Marcel Servin Chablis 2022 (Chardonnay) $ 33

The grapes are from the Pargues vineyard, which was previously classified as Premier Cru but was not cultivated when reclassification occurred after WWII. So, the wine is in essence a Premier Cru at a village-level price. Sleek, wonderful balance, with green apple and fuji apple, juicy pear, bright floral, chipped chalky stones, backed up with crisp acidity and a nice streak of minerality. Medium body and palate intensity and finish. Fermented in stainless steel.

Domaine Claudie Jobard, Rully 1er Cru En Villerage 2022 (Chardonnay) $ 50

This wine blossoms in the glass. On the palate, it is well balanced with a crisp line of acidity and notes of lime cordial and citrus peel. Whilst not the most complex finish, it is cohesion and focused Rully that gives drinking pleasure. Fermented in oak barrels. Rully Montagne La Folie comes from a unique plot of 2ha 45 facing South-East located on the Montagne de la Folie between Rully and Chagny. Claudie is the daughter of the former winemaker at Domaine Drouhin and is a well-known enologist in Burgundy.

Domaine Gabriel et Paul Jouard, Bourgogne Chardonnay 2022 $ 45

A family-owned winery located in the village of Chassagne-Montrachet, which village is known for high-quality wines made from Chardonnay grapes. Fresh and vibrant on the nose, displaying an intense bouquet of citrus fruits, lemon and grapefruit, along with delicate floral notes. On the palate, the wine is crisp and refreshing, with a good balance of acidity and fruit flavors. The wine has a medium body and a smooth, creamy texture, with a long and satisfying finish that leaves a lingering, fresh feeling.

Domaine Parent, Bourgogne Côte d’Or Pinot Noir 2022 $ 66

The 2022 Sélection Pomone from Domaine Parent is described as stellar elegance, density and complexity. Despite its weight, it delivers beyond expectations. On the palate, expect lush fruit with ripe cherry notes, with good acidity and lovely tannins that will meld in overtime. The finish is fresher than initially suggested, making it a delightful Burgundy experience.

Domaine Tortochot, Bourgogne Pinot Noir Cuvée Fine Sélection 2022 $ 48

Anchored in Gevrey-Chambertin since the 19th Century, Domaine Tortochot carries the family heritage under Chantal Tortochot (fourth generation). Under Chantal, the estate is committed to environmentally friendly viticulture, eliminating fining and filtration, and opting for organic conversion in 2013. Domaine Tortochot wines are renowned for their richness, fruity aromas, and powerful tannins. These Pinots, while remaining elegant, offer exceptionally good aging potential, thus embodying the tradition of Gevrey-Chambertin.

Domaine Gabriel et Paul Jouard, Santenay Vieilles Vignes Rouge 2022 $45
Pinot Noir

This estate has been making wine for generations and its leadership is dedicated to sustainable farming and minimal intervention winemaking. The Santenay Vieilles Vignes Rouge 2020 is a wine that captures the essence of Burgundy. This wine is a blend of grapes sourced from old vines in the Santenay appellation. After fermentation, the wine was aged in French oak barrels for 12 months to enhance its complexity and structure. In the glass, the wine is a bright ruby color with aromas of cherries, raspberries, and blackcurrants, alongside hints of earth and spice. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with smooth tannins and a long, elegant finish.
